Growing tomatoes in containers
Tomatoes on a balcony are possible, but the pot size matters more than anything else.
A container of at least twenty litres keeps the roots from drying out on hot days. Smaller pots meant watering twice a day and split fruit.
Cherry varieties are the most forgiving. A simple stake and a weekly feed from midsummer gave me far more fruit than I could eat.
